ONLINE COURSE: MANY PEACES
Expand your ways of looking at the meaning of peace with Ph. D. Wolfgang Dietrich
This course seeks to provide a broader understanding of the different ways of looking at aspects of peace through different historical and cultural contexts. Many Peaces investigates the roots of different people´s background and come to understand why they think and act in a certain way and how, from that, they move around the world. This knowledge that is presented in the form of 5 views on perceiving peace and conflict shows us our own relational diversity as human beings. This can generate more empathy and connection between us, through realizing what is common to all of us. Each being is part of a community, and each community is part of something bigger — all interconnected. The goal here is to spark reflection and openness as tools to support the development of skills to deal with the diversity of perspectives on life based on the studies compiled by him and his team. It presents a broader model of studying and realizing peace within the academic field. The focal point of this work is to bring the view that peace is relational, so through these videos it seeks to look at relationships according to cultures and history.
